Hi :)

I’m Spyros, a software engineer who likes everything about security on Linux, especially the bits that run before and underneath everything else.

These days I’m at Edgeless Systems working on Contrast, which runs confidential containers on Kubernetes. That means a lot of Go, TEEs, remote attestation and boot chains. Before that I worked on Ubuntu’s platform security: confidential computing, remote attestation, verified/measured boot and runtime integrity.

Further back I was a security researcher, finding and reporting bugs through reverse engineering and source code auditing, and helping clients in mobile, IoT and banking secure their products. I hold an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Patras, where I wrote my thesis on penetration testing and how to turn one into a report people actually find useful.

When I’m not at a keyboard

Okay, that’s a lie. I’m usually at a different kind of keyboard: I play various instruments, with piano as my main, so I’m always open to invites for any sort of jamming session :)

I love photography. It’s mostly a solo thing for me, but I’m happy to join a photo walk :)

I devour books and graphic novels. Recommendations welcome :)
